Quantity Surveyor (Groundworks/Civils)

Taunton
£80,000 to £100,000 + Company Car + Fuel Card + Progression

Are you a Quantity Surveyor with a background in groundworks or civils who is commutable to the Taunton area looking to join a close-knit family run Groundworks contractor who offers competitive salary and has great opportunities for progression?

Do you want to join a fast growing family run Groundworks and civils contractor that looks after their staff, offers a great package with a competitive salary and gives you the opportunity to progress with the company all the way to directorship?

In this role the successful quantity surveyor would be in charge of:

  • Detailed cost estimates
  • Collaboration with engineers
  • Regular reports on projects and forecasts
  • Assist in resolving any disputes related to cost and contracts as well as preparing tendering documents

This role would suit a Quantity Surveyor with a background in the civil or groundworks industry looking for a new challenge within a growing family run company where you will be the go-to technical expert for Quantity Surveying.

The role:

  • Primarily office based with some hybrid flexibility
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
  • Assist in resolving any disputes related to costs or contracts during the project execution phase.
  • Prepare tender documents and assist in the evaluation of bids from contractors.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects

The Person:

  • Quantity Surveyor with a background in Civils or groundworks
  • Commutable to Taunton
  • Full UK driving license
