Quantity Surveyor - Infrastructure & Rail

Location: Blantyre, Scotland
Salary: £55,000-£65,000 + Car/Car Allowance + Benefits

I'm currently working with an established infrastructure contractor who are looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor.

The business delivers a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, including major rail schemes, providing the opportunity to work across a varied and commercially challenging project portfolio.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you'll take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to completion.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing project costs and commercial performance
  • Cost forecasting, reporting and final accounts
  • Managing contractual and commercial obligations
  • Procurement and subcontract management
  • Identifying commercial opportunities and managing risk
  • Managing variations and change
  • Working closely with project teams, clients and the supply chain
  • Supporting the delivery of projects safely, efficiently and commercially

About You

We're looking for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor with experience within rail, civil engineering, infrastructure or construction.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience working in a Quantity Surveying role
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
  • Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain relationships
  • Good understanding of project costs, forecasting and reporting
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive and commercially driven approach

£55,000-£65,000 + Car/Car Allowance + Benefits
