TGS International Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a rapidly growing technology and infrastructure organisation delivering complex, high-profile projects within the data centre sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused QS with experience across Hyperscale Data Centre projects to play a key role in managing project costs, protecting margins and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
Working closely with Project Managers, Commercial Managers, Project Planners and Operations teams, you will provide commercial support throughout the full project lifecycle, covering cost control, variations, forecasting, risk management and contract administration.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Provide commercial support to project teams, ensuring projects remain commercially sound and financially successful.
- Monitor project costs and performance against budget, identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
- Manage variations and changes to scope, including preparing quotations, claims and supporting documentation.
- Support monthly valuations, cost reporting, forecasting and cost/value reconciliation.
- Administer contracts and subcontracts in line with contractual requirements and company procedures.
- Review and interpret contract terms and support the management of claims and variations.
- Help protect and maximise project margins.
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants and internal stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with Commercial, Finance, Legal, Design & Engineering and Operations teams.
- Support the development and consistent application of commercial processes and best practice.
- Assist with supplier negotiations and other commercial activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and wider commercial projects.

What We're Looking For
- Proven Quantity Surveying experience within a project delivery or construction environment.
- Experience working on or supporting Hyperscale Data Centre projects is highly desirable.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
- Experience with JCT, NEC, FIDIC or other standard forms of contract.
- Strong experience with cost control, variations, valuations, forecasting and commercial reporting.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify risks and opportunities.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong relationship-building skills across clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
