Job Description
Quantity Surveyor Staffordshire | Hybrid Working
Are you an ambitious Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? Do you want to be part of a growing, forward-thinking business where your contribution is genuinely valued? Due to continued success and expansion, our client is looking for a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile civil engineering projects within a supportive and collaborative environment that encourages career progression. What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering projects successfully by driving commercial performance and ensuring strong cost control throughout. You will:
- Take ownership of project costs from start to completion
- Prepare and manage contracts, budgets, and commercial documentation
- Carry out site measurements and interpret technical drawings
- Identify risks early and implement effective solutions
- Deliver accurate cost reporting and ongoing financial analysis
- Produce estimates and assess subcontractor quotations with confidence
- Manage variations, valuations, and final accounts
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Support the successful resolution of commercial matters and disputes
- Champion quality, safety, and environmental standards at every stage

What We’re Looking For
Our client is looking for someone who is driven, commercially aware, and ready to make an impact. You’ll bring:
- Proven experience in civil engineering projects
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Confidence in negotiation and decision-making
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Flexibility to travel and a full UK driving license are essential for this role.
