Company Description

Signature Build is a leading luxury builder in London, specializing in bespoke homes, high-end refurbishments, and heritage restorations. The team delivers super prime residential projects, including Grade I and II-listed properties, across prestigious areas such as prime central London, south-west London (notably Richmond/Teddington/Twickenham), and sought-after locations in Surrey, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire.

Every team member brings deep knowledge of high-end residential construction and a commitment to excellence, resulting in a portfolio that includes new builds, sensitive renovations of historic structures, and substantial extensions.

Role Description

This is a full-time Quantity Surveyor role based in Teddington. The Quantity Surveyor will manage all cost-related aspects of luxury residential construction projects, from initial estimates through to final accounts.

  • Preparing tender documents
  • Conducting cost planning and forecasting
  • Monitoring project budgets
  • Producing accurate cost reports for internal stakeholders and clients

The role involves evaluating tenders, negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors, assessing variations, and ensuring financial control throughout the project. The Quantity Surveyor will collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, designers, and clients to support informed decision-making and deliver projects within budget while maintaining Signature Build’s quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong cost planning and cost management skills, including experience with budgeting and forecasting for construction projects.
  • Proficiency in cost control and cost reporting, with the ability to track project financials and present clear, accurate reports.
  • Hands-on experience preparing and managing subcontract packages and related tender documentation for high-end or complex builds.
  • Knowledge of residential construction processes, materials, and methods, ideally within luxury or heritage projects.
  • Familiarity with relevant UK building regulations, contracts, and procurement practices.
  • Advanced numeracy and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary project teams and clients.
  • Competence in using quantity surveying and project management software, as well as standard office applications.
  • Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline; professional membership (e.g., RICS) is an advantage.
  • Experience in luxury residential or heritage restoration projects in the UK is highly beneficial.
