FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure services provider within the Water and Wastewater sector for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Developer Services team.
This is a North London based position with opportunities to work out of the Surrey office dependent on location.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the commercial success of projects, ensuring robust cost control, accurate forecasting and proactive risk management.
Working closely with operational teams, the Quantity Surveyor will monitor budgets, produce detailed cost reports, prepare cash flow forecasts and identify potential commercial risks and opportunities to maximise project performance.
The Developer Services team connects water and wastewater services, installs lateral drains and enables new developments to access vital water and wastewater services.

Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:
- Support the commercial success of projects through robust cost control, accurate forecasting and proactive risk management
- Work closely with operational teams to monitor project budgets and financial performance
- Produce detailed cost reports and prepare cash flow forecasts
- Identify potential commercial risks and opportunities to maximise project performance
- Produce accurate monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs)
- Measure and price works
- Manage subcontractor accounts
- Report on completed and forecasted activities
- Provide commercial insight and attention to detail to ensure projects remain financially on track
- Maintain compliance with client and regulatory requirements
- Identify value opportunities and drive cost efficiencies across projects
- Support margin improvement across the business
- Contribute to the preparation of applications for payment
- Work collaboratively with project teams to deliver successful outcomes
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of commercial processes and performance

Required Skills and Experience of the Quantity Surveyor:
- Proven experience in a contracting environment
- Experience/knowledge of pricing groundworks
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Cost reporting knowledge/experience
- Subcontract management experience
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
