Job Title

Quantity Surveyor – M&E / Building Services

Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspects of a major, long-term construction project in Ardrossan. This role suits professionals confident working under NEC4 (Option C) with a background in M&E or building services. Responsibilities

  • Manage subcontractor accounts and ensure effective commercial performance
  • Maintain accurate cost control, forecasting, and reporting
  • Oversee valuations, applications, and payment processes
  • Manage change control, variations, and final accounts
  • Handle procurement and subcontract management activities
  • Work under NEC4 Option C contract terms

Must-have Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in M&E, building services, utilities, or related sectors
  • Strong knowledge of NEC4, specifically Option C
  • Experience managing subcontractors
  • Previous involvement in complex, large-scale projects
  • Excellent commercial and contractual awareness
  • Relevant qualifications are advantageous but experience is essential
