Quantity Surveyor – Civils & Highways

Salary: dependant on experience + car allowance

Location: Derbyshire

Sector: Civils / Highways

Our client, a well-established civils and highways contractor, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute professional to take ownership of financial control, valuations, and contract administration within a busy operational environment.

The Role

  • Manage the financial performance and valuation of civils and highways projects.
  • Maintain accurate financial control systems and prepare monthly cost–value reconciliation reports.
  • Support operational teams with all contract and commercial matters.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication between site and office teams.
  • Travel to site as required to support staff and clients.

About You

  • BSc / HND / HNC in Quantity Surveying desirable, but not essential.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within highways and/or the local authority sector.
  • Experience working with operational teams on cost–value reports and project management costs.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC forms of contract (essential).
  • Full, valid UK driving licence.
