Role Description
This full-time Quantity Surveyor role is a hybrid position based in England, United Kingdom, with a mix of on-site work and some work from home. The Quantity Surveyor will manage cost planning and control across the project lifecycle, including preparing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and updating forecasts. - Preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
- Supporting tender processes
- Assessing variations and claims
- Producing clear cost reports
- Advising project teams on commercial risks and opportunities
- Collaborating closely with engineers, planners, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered within budget
- Contributing to continuous improvement of cost management practices
- Maintaining accurate, compliant documentation
Qualifications
- Strong cost management capabilities, including Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Planning skills.
- Proficiency in BOQ preparation, measurement, and analysis to support estimating and tendering activities.
- Experience producing clear, timely Cost Reporting for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of standard forms of contract and commercial practices within the engineering or construction sectors.
- Competence in using industry-standard cost management tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in hybrid teams and manage competing priorities.

- Use of Confirm (Brightly)
- Management of 1500 Series Subcontractors and/or Traffic Management subcontractors
