Binnies, an RSK Group company, is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join us in Peterborough as part of the @one Alliance, supporting Anglian Water’s capital investment programme during the exciting AMP8 period 🚀.

🛠️ The Role
To support this next phase, we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Water Non-Infrastructure Commercial team, based in Peterborough.
As a Quantity Surveyor within the @one Alliance, you will act as the commercial conscience of the integrated delivery team, providing expert commercial support to both delivery management and site teams. You’ll ensure costs are controlled 💷, value is maximised 📊, risks are minimised ⚖️, and quality and safety standards are upheld—while maintaining full compliance with Alliance and Anglian Water governance requirements.
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of commercial and cost management for projects, as directed by the Project Commercial Manager
- Deliver accurate, timely cost reporting, analysis, and data to support commercial decision-making 📑
- Ensure project teams fully understand contractual arrangements and client requirements
- Collaborate with delivery teams to identify, implement, and monitor efficiency improvements throughout the project lifecycle 🔄
- Maintain robust commercial records, including final accounts, to support audits and cost assurance activities

🌱 About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Extensive experience in cost and commercial management
- A degree (or equivalent) in engineering, management, or a cost-related discipline (desirable, but not essential)
- A strong passion for pursuing a career in Commercial Management
You’ll bring excellent customer service and leadership skills ⭐, a strong understanding of construction and safety practices, and the confidence to challenge existing processes to drive continuous improvement.
