About Us

My client specializes in Construction, Fitouts and Facilities management. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality work while maintaining excellent relationships with their clients. The projects range from commercial to residential, and they are renowned for their expertise in concrete works, diamond drilling, resurfacing, and more.

Position Overview

I am seeking a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Sittingbourne. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry, with experience in managing costs and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for various construction projects.
  • Carry out risk assessments and feasibility studies to determine project viability.
  • Monitor project financials, including tracking expenses and providing reports on budget compliance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure project specifications and quality standards are met.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers to secure the best terms.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any issues that arise.
  • Maintain and update project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction costs, budgeting, and financial management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and cost estimation software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
