Role Description
This full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role is based in Torbay Area and involves supporting construction projects from initial cost planning through to final account. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation;
- Evaluating contractor bids;
- Monitoring project costs and variations;
- Measuring and valuing work on site;
- Preparing interim valuations and payment certificates;
- Maintaining detailed records of contractual and financial information.

The Quantity Surveyor will collaborate with clients, contractors, and project teams to provide clear commercial advice, ensure that budgets are adhered to, and help manage project risks.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of construction measurement, cost planning, and preparation of bills of quantities and tender documents.
- Experience in contract administration, including valuations, variations, payment certificates, and final accounts.
- Proficiency with relevant quantity surveying and construction software (e.g., measurement tools, Excel, cost management systems).
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline (e.g., degree, HNC/HND), or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of UK construction standards, procurement routes, and contract forms is beneficial.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites in the South West as required.
