You will be joining an industry-leading Tier 1 contractor based in Stafford delivering some of the UK's most important energy and power projects. Operating across major electricity transmission and network improvement schemes, this organisation plays a key role in strengthening and future-proofing the UK's energy infrastructure. This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Stafford office with hybrid and flexible working.
Your new role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of major power infrastructure projects from award through to final account. Working closely with project delivery teams, clients and supply chain partners, you will ensure projects are delivered commercially successfully while identifying opportunities to drive value and manage risk.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the commercial performance of infrastructure projects throughout their lifecycle
- Administering NEC contracts, including Compensation Events, Early Warning Notices and payment applications
- Producing cost reports, forecasts, CVRs and commercial performance updates
- Managing subcontract procurement, valuations, payments and final accounts
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Providing contractual and commercial support to project teams
- Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and key stakeholders
- Negotiating and agreeing final accounts

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:
- Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or related discipline) or experience equivalent
- Experience administering NEC3 and/or NEC4 forms of contract within the civil engineering or infrastructure sectors
- Strong commercial awareness and strong understanding of cost management principles
- Experience producing CVRs, cost forecasts and commercial reports
- Good knowledge of compensation events and early warning processes
- Full UK driving licence
