Quantity Surveyor – 62 Unit Residential Development
TEXO Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join an 18-month residential development project in London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of the project, working closely with the project and site teams to ensure costs, budgets, and contractual obligations are effectively managed throughout the development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial and financial aspects of the project from pre-construction through to completion.
- Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets and forecasts.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering, and package awards.
- Review and negotiate subcontractor quotations and contracts.
- Manage valuations, payments, variations, and final accounts.
- Monitor project costs and identify potential commercial risks.
- Prepare regular cost reports and financial forecasts.
- Manage change control and ensure variations are accurately recorded and valued.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Management team to ensure commercial objectives are met.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting.
- Support with contractual matters and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the residential construction sector.
- Experience working on multi-unit residential developments.
- Strong understanding of subcontract procurement, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Good knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting the wider project team.
