Our client is a well-established and highly regarded specialist joinery contractor delivering exceptional joinery and fit-out projects across Scotland. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis at their headquarters in Cumbernauld.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to join a successful business where quality, craftsmanship and client satisfaction are at the heart of everything they do.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of multiple joinery and fit-out projects from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with Contracts Managers, Project Managers and senior leadership, you will ensure projects are delivered profitably while maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate cost estimates and project budgets.
- Managing project costs throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Producing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
- Procuring and managing subcontractor packages.
- Assessing and processing subcontractor applications and payments.
- Identifying, valuing and managing project variations.
- Monitoring project expenditure and reporting on commercial performance.
- Negotiating contracts and resolving commercial issues.
- Supporting project teams with cost planning and risk management.
- Ensuring contractual compliance and maintaining accurate commercial records.
About You
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction, joinery or fit-out sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial practices.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive and commercially focused approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- A full UK driving licence is preferred.
