Quantity Surveyor – Renewable Energy

Location: London

H9 Talent Solutions is working with a London-based client to assess candidates for an anticipated Quantity Surveyor requirement within renewable energy.

We’re interested in speaking with QS professionals who bring commercial experience across solar, battery energy storage, electricity networks or related engineering and infrastructure projects. Candidates from utilities, civil engineering, electrical contracting and EPC backgrounds are also encouraged to get in touch.

The Experience We’re Looking For

You’ll have experience managing project costs and contractual obligations, working closely with delivery teams and the supply chain. Relevant responsibilities include:

  • Cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial reporting.
  • Subcontract procurement, tender assessment, and negotiation.
  • Applications for payment, valuations, and final accounts.
  • Managing variations, compensation events, and contractual notices.
  • Identifying commercial risks and supporting project profitability.
  • Building relationships with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.

Experience with NEC, FIDIC, or other construction contracts would be useful, alongside a qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or equivalent practical experience. Direct renewables experience is welcome, but strong transferable experience in engineering or infrastructure is equally relevant.
