Quantity Surveyor Greater Manchester

Job type: Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a forward-thinking local authority of a town in Greater Manchester, supporting the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of capital projects across a large public estate. This is an ideal role for a commercially astute professional looking to make a meaningful impact within the public sector, working on projects that directly benefit the local community.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role across the full project lifecycle, providing high-quality cost management and commercial support from initial feasibility through to final account. Key responsibilities will include:

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying or Cost Management role
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills

Essential:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience)

Desirable:

  • Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or working towards accreditation
  • Commitment to continuous professional development (CPD)
