Join Our Growing Commercial Team
We’re looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team.
Based in Bedminster, Bristol, 21st Century Building Services is a family-run main contractor, delivering refurbishment, new build, fit-out and extension projects across a wide variety of sectors throughout the South West.
This is a great opportunity for a commercially driven QS looking for variety, responsibility and the opportunity to make a real impact within a growing business.
The Role
Working closely with our Commercial Manager, Contracts Managers and site teams, you’ll take commercial responsibility for multiple projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing project costs, budgets and commercial reporting
- Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
- Preparing and agreeing valuations, variations and final accounts
- Monitoring project performance, risk and commercial opportunities
- Working closely with clients, consultants and our supply chain
- Supporting tendering and pre-construction activities
- Managing multiple projects across different sectors

What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a main contracting environment
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline is preferred, but relevant experience will also be considered
- Strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge
- Experience managing projects through the full commercial lifecycle
- Confident negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence
