Job Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor - Southern Region

The UK's largest provider of essential infrastructure services is looking to onboard Quantity Surveyors to their Southern Region. Operating across regulated water, energy, telecommunications, transport, and public sectors, they are a part of all major frameworks in the UK including the Great Grid Upgrade, AMP8, National Highways SDF, and more.

Role Overview

They are seeking to onboard a Quantity Surveyor for their multi-billion-pound Rail framework. The total investment for the framework amounts to GBP 45 billion across England, Wales, and Scotland with the budget allocated into multiple areas including Asset Renewals, Operations and Support, Route Maintenance, and Climate Adaptation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing subcontractor accounts
  • Prepare reports
  • Track project finances
  • Ensure compliance and minimize risks
  • Monitor risk registers
  • Value variations
  • Play a vital role in keeping projects efficient and profitable

This position also involves:

  • Producing financial forecasts
  • Analyzing quotations
  • Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Commercial staff
  • Supporting the recovery of contract costs
  • Streamlining processes
  • Contributing to monthly financial reviews

What You'll Bring

  • NEC Experience (essential)
  • Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying or Cost Clerk role
  • Subcontract Management experience
  • Exposure to large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Full UK Driving Licence
