A leading UK property services specialist is seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join its team based in Worcester.

The business delivers expert property maintenance, refurbishment, and compliance services across complex and highly regulated environments. Operating nationally with multiple offices and a large workforce, the organisation supports clients across sectors including Defence, Education, Healthcare, and Critical National Infrastructure.

This is a key role within the commercial team, responsible for ensuring cost control, value for money, and strong commercial governance across projects. The role is well suited to a Quantity Surveyor who thrives in a structured, framework-driven environment and values consistency, accuracy, and collaboration.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing the commercial and financial delivery of interior, fit-out, and refurbishment projects across healthcare, education, and public sector environments
  • Preparing and reviewing valuations, cost reports, and forecasts
  • Managing subcontractor accounts, applications, and final accounts
  • Controlling variations, ensuring accurate pricing and clear commercial justification
  • Supporting the preparation of budgets, cashflow forecasts, and cost value reconciliations
  • Working closely with operational teams to ensure alignment between delivery and commercial outcomes
  • Ensuring compliance with contract terms, schedules of rates, and client requirements
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
  • Supporting audits, reporting, and internal governance processes

This role requires strong commercial judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective working relationships across both operational and client teams.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within commercial and public sector environments
  • Experience delivering projects ranging from £250k to £2.5m+, with a solid understanding of JCT and NEC contracts and cost control procedures
  • Confidence in managing subcontractor accounts and valuations
  • Strong knowledge of contractual and commercial processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • IT literate, including Excel and commercial systems
