The Opportunity
Our client is an established provider of integrated Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering solutions, delivering complex projects across sectors including Data Centres, Energy, Power, Renewables, Pharmaceutical and other high-specification environments.
With a strong presence across the UK and Europe, the organisation has an established track record of delivering large-scale, technically complex projects for major international clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong M&E and/or construction experience to join an established international contractor and play a key role in the commercial delivery of a major Data Centre project.

The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of the project throughout its lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Managing and taking ownership of commercial and contractual requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Acting as a key interface with the Client's Commercial and Contract teams.
- Managing project procurement, including subcontractor packages.
- Conducting detailed cost and risk analysis.
- Reviewing correspondence from the Employer, Design Team and subcontractors to identify contractually critical matters.
- Managing the commercial aspects of subcontractor relationships.
- Preparing project costing, margin and cashflow reports.
- Managing project change control procedures.
- Agreeing variations and associated costs with the client.
- Supporting the wider project team in achieving commercial and contractual objectives.
- Monitoring project costs and performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements
- A third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline.
- Previous experience working as a Project Quantity Surveyor.
- For more senior positions, 5+ years' relevant experience is preferred.
- Experience within civil engineering, electrical infrastructure, M&E or major construction projects.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Confidence communicating and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience managing subcontractors and commercial packages.
- The ability to work effectively within a high-performing project environment.
- A willingness to work internationally and, where applicable, on a rotational basis.
