Quantity Surveyor – Bishop Auckland
Spear-Heads are recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist subcontractor based in Bishop Auckland for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
Must be able to travel overnight as and when needed
Hybrid, 1 day office, 2 to 3 days onsite and 1 day remote
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare valuations, variations and final accounts
- Manage subcontractor payments, enquiries and orders
- Produce material take-offs from drawings
- Monitor project costs, cash flow and commercial performance
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts
- Work closely with estimating, design, purchasing and contracts teams
- Support cost control and recovery of additional costs

- Specialist subcontractor experience essential
- Cladding/building envelope experience preferred
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Confident communicator with a proactive approach
- Able to manage deadlines and multiple contracts
