Role Description
This full-time Quantity Surveyor role is based in Armagh with a hybrid working arrangement, combining office/site attendance with some work from home. The Quantity Surveyor will manage bills of quantities, support tender submissions, and assist in pricing masonry packages.

Responsibilities

- Manage bills of quantities
- Support tender submissions
- Assist in pricing masonry packages
- Cost planning, cost control, and cost reporting throughout project lifecycles
- Valuation of work
- Preparation of interim and final accounts
- Monitoring project budgets
- Liaise with project managers, site teams
- Reviewing contract documents
- Identifying potential cost risks and opportunities
- Contribute to improving cost management processes
- Ensuring accurate project financial records
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Cost Control and Cost Management to monitor, manage, and optimize project budgets.
- Skills in Cost Planning and Cost Reporting to forecast expenditures and produce clear, regular financial updates.
- Experience with BOQ (Bills of Quantities), including preparation, measurement, and review for masonry and general construction works.
- Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in construction measurement standards and common forms of contract.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and Excel skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with site and office teams.
- Previous experience in construction, ideally with exposure to masonry or specialist trade packages, is beneficial.
