Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering / Infrastructure

Location: Kent

Salary: Up to £75,000 + car allowance, private healthcare & bonus


The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing civil engineering and infrastructure business delivering a range of exciting projects across Kent and the surrounding region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor looking to take responsibility for projects from procurement through to final account, working closely with operational teams, clients, and supply chain partners.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, valuations, and final accounts.
  • Lead procurement and subcontractor management.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, change control, and commercial performance.
  • Prepare and submit applications for payment and assess subcontractor applications.
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities and implement appropriate mitigation.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual, commercial, and company requirements.

About You

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, or a related construction environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure.
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, variations, and final accounts.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • A commercially driven and proactive approach.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with project teams.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline are desirable.
