An established civil engineering contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team.
The company delivers projects across the civil engineering, utilities and infrastructure sectors and has secured a strong pipeline of work across Scotland. This role would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a supportive commercial environment.
The Role
- Assist with the commercial management of civil engineering projects.
- Manage project costs, budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare monthly valuations and payment applications.
- Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project variations and change.
- Assist with contractual and commercial negotiations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate commercial reports.
- Manage subcontractor accounts and payments.
- Assist with the preparation and agreement of final accounts.
- Work closely with site and project management teams.
- Identify potential commercial risks and opportunities.
- Maintain accurate project records and commercial documentation.

The Candidate
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or civil engineering.
- Experience within utilities, infrastructure or civils would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of commercial and contractual processes.
- NEC experience preferred.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification or working towards one.
- Ambitious and keen to develop within a growing business.
