Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire (with occasional travel to project sites)
Join a business that's building some of the UK's most exciting infrastructure.
At Force Contracting Services, we're continuing to grow and are looking for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team.
We work on some of the most technically challenging and rewarding projects across the UK and Europe, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), bridge construction, nuclear, substations and other major infrastructure schemes. No two projects are the same, giving you the opportunity to develop your experience across a diverse portfolio.
We're a business that values its people. We're not about endless layers of management or being just another number. We believe in giving our team responsibility, trusting them to do what they do best and recognising the contribution they make to our continued success.
The Role:
Working alongside our operational teams, you'll take ownership of the commercial management of projects from tender through to final account, helping to ensure projects are delivered successfully, profitably and to the highest standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
