Plymouth | Permanent | Full-Time

£65,000 & Package

Sphere Solutions are working with a well-established South West contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team based in Plymouth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial delivery of multiple construction and civil engineering projects
  • Prepare detailed estimates and price new works and tenders
  • Produce accurate cost plans, valuations and monthly cost reports
  • Procure subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating the best commercial outcomes
  • Manage subcontractor accounts, applications, variations and final accounts
  • Prepare and submit applications for payment
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts and profitability throughout delivery
  • Attend site visits and liaise closely with operational teams and clients

About You

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or construction
  • Experience managing projects from tender through to final account
  • Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or a Construction-related discipline
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
