Plymouth | Permanent | Full-Time
£65,000 & Package
Sphere Solutions are working with a well-established South West contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team based in Plymouth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial delivery of multiple construction and civil engineering projects
- Prepare detailed estimates and price new works and tenders
- Produce accurate cost plans, valuations and monthly cost reports
- Procure subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating the best commercial outcomes
- Manage subcontractor accounts, applications, variations and final accounts
- Prepare and submit applications for payment
- Monitor project costs, forecasts and profitability throughout delivery
- Attend site visits and liaise closely with operational teams and clients

About You
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or construction
- Experience managing projects from tender through to final account
- Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or a Construction-related discipline
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
What's on Offer?
- Salary circa £65,000 depending on experience
