CPC PROJECT SERVICES - Construction Consultancy
Quantity Surveyor / Project Surveyor
Liverpool/Manchester (open to both) | Residential Team
Looking to build a career, not just fill a role? If you want real project exposure, mentorship from experienced consultants, and a genuine path towards Senior QS and Employer's Agent status, this could be the next step you're looking for.
We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor or Project Surveyor who's ready to get hands-on with cost and commercial management on complex residential schemes, and grow into a senior, client-facing role over time.
We're growing our North West Residential team at CPC Project Services and we're doing it properly - not backfilling roles but investing in people we want to develop and keep.
Why this role, why now?
We've seen a major increase in project awards across a number of key residential frameworks, alongside new opportunities coming through our in-house Land & Partnerships team.
In short: we've got the work, and we need the right people to help deliver it.
You'll join a high-performing, close-knit residential team of 20+ professionals across our UK offices, working on projects that genuinely make a difference throughout the North West.
We partner with some of the area's most prominent housing providers, delivering complex residential schemes within social housing, our core market, alongside Build-to-Rent (BTR), extra-care and supported living developments.
Our live portfolio includes multiple large-scale contracts throughout the region, typically 100–150 units, with a strong focus on regeneration, affordable housing and the creation of sustainable, mixed-tenure communities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Working towards or recently achieved MRICS chartership
- Some exposure to housing is preferred — affordable housing is our ideal, but broader residential experience (apartments, mixed-tenure schemes, BTR) will also be considered
- Employer's Agent exposure isn't essential — we'll support you to build these skills, including chairing meetings and being client-facing, as you develop
- Keen, proactive, and genuinely interested in developing your commercial and client-facing skills
- Consultancy background is our preference, but we're equally open to client-side or main contractor QSs, provided you have some housing experience
