Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager (Fit-Out & M&E, Small Projects)
Location: Central London
Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 + car allowance + bonus
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days from home)
About the Opportunity:
We're recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager for a project team working across a varied portfolio of fit-out, refurbishment, and M&E projects. This is a unique QS opportunity; rather than being one small part of a large construction project, you'll have end-to-end involvement across a range of smaller-value projects, working closely with clients and project teams from early cost planning through to delivery.

Responsibilities:
- Cost planning, estimating, and feasibility work
- Procurement strategy, tender analysis, and bid levelling
- Managing budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
- Valuations, variations, and change control
- Identifying and managing commercial risk
- Working closely with clients, contractors, and project managers
- Supporting fit-out, refurbishment, and M&E-related projects

Required Skills/Experience:
- Quantity Surveying/Cost Management experience
- Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor, principal contractor, or similar
- Strong experience across fit-out and/or M&E projects
- Good understanding of pre- and post-contract cost management
- Experience with estimating, cost planning, procurement, and tendering
- Confident managing variations, valuations, forecasting, and commercial reporting
- Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients and stakeholders
