About One Tech and AI

One Tech and AI is developing a next-generation Quantum Computing Simulator designed to make quantum computing more accessible for research, education, and algorithm development. Our platform enables researchers to design, simulate, visualize, and analyse quantum circuits while supporting future applications in quantum chemistry, quantum machine learning, optimization, cryptography, and materials science.

We are building an interdisciplinary research community that bridges academia and industry.

The Opportunity

We are inviting motivated PhD candidates and Postdoctoral Researchers from UK universities to join our Quantum Research Fellows Programme.

This is an academic collaboration intended for researchers who are passionate about advancing quantum computing while contributing to an innovative industrial research platform.

The role is designed to complement your existing research activities and offers flexibility around your academic commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on cutting-edge quantum computing research.
  • Develop, validate, and benchmark quantum algorithms using our Quantum Simulator, while contributing to the research, validation, and continuous enhancement of the simulator to ensure it accurately models quantum systems and supports cutting-edge quantum computing research.
  • Design and evaluate novel quantum algorithms.
  • Validate algorithms using our Quantum Simulator.
  • Contribute to technical discussions and research planning.
  • Publish high-quality academic papers where appropriate.
  • Participate in regular online research meetings.
  • Mentor undergraduate and MSc interns where suitable.

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for:

  • Current PhD candidates.
  • Postdoctoral researchers.
  • Early-career researchers.
  • Academics interested in industry collaboration.

Applicants should have experience in quantum computing, mathematics, physics, computer science, or a closely related discipline.

Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills are essential.

Time Commitment

  • Approximately 2 - 4 hours per week.
  • Fully remote.
  • Flexible scheduling.
