BAM Ground Engineering – Drill & Blast Department
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quarry Driller; this is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and professional individual.
BAM Ground Engineering – Drill & Blast Department are an industry leading company within the extractives industry providing fully integrated blasting services, for government organisations, local authorities, main contractors, utilities, and public/private companies.
This position can be based across the Central Belt of Scotland or the East Midlands (Cumbria, Lancashire, and Leicestershire).
Making Possible
As a Quarry Driller, you will be responsible for the following:
- This will be a hands-on role operating drilling rigs, maintaining equipment and working alongside our blasting teams to deliver safe, efficient results.
- Maintaining the very highest standards of health and safety, quality, and professionalism at all times.

What do you bring to the role?
Although previous experience in the quarry drilling industry is not essential, it is desirable that the candidate have experience working outdoors, preferably in a construction environment.
- Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
- Full clean driving licence
- Emergency First Aid At Work Training (One Day)
- Manual Handling Training
- Experience in working on construction sites
- The ability to work well with others
- Strong communication, motivational skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours + weekends, including some overnight stays away from home
