Quiz Room offers an immersive and entertaining trivia experience, designed to provide a lively game show atmosphere just like on TV. This experience caters to all ages and is ideal for team building or group events. Participants can enjoy customisable activities with personalised questions, catering, and other features, creating fun, engaging, and unforgettable moments. Our commitment is to deliver a unique event filled with surprises, laughter, and collaboration, tailored to our clients' preferences.

Role Description

As a Quiz Master you will play a crucial role in the smooth running of the venue, with a particular focus on delivering exceptional customer service. We are committed to providing an outstanding customer experience. The main responsibilities will include:

  • Customer Service: Provide a warm welcome to all customers, ensuring their enjoyment and satisfaction. Greet and welcome customers with a warm and friendly demeanour. Anticipate customer needs and provide prompt and efficient assistance. Resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner. Build rapport with customers to foster loyalty and repeat business. Escort guests to their quiz room, explain the rules of the games and answer any queries. Create a lively and competitive atmosphere. Manage the quiz format and scoring for tournaments. Interact with participants to enhance the overall experience.
  • Bartending/Bar Management: Serving the perfect pint, ensuring the cleanliness and smooth-running of the bar, changing kegs and keeping the cellar organised.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the overall success of the venue by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing new initiatives. Actively seek feedback from customers in the form of Google/TripAdvisor reviews to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • A strong interest in the hospitality and leisure industry, and a love of quizzes and games.
  • Experience in bartending, cellar management and customer service, ideally within a hospitality venue or entertainment environment.
  • A confident and engaging personality with the ability to connect with large groups and a varying range of people.
  • Very strong communication and organisational skills; able to manage a number of tasks.
  • A sales-oriented approach and a desire to succeed.
  • A reliable, self-starting, flexible and professional approach.
  • Available evenings and weekends throughout November and December.

Hours

Part time, either on a fixed term or zero hour contract. Evening and weekend availability is essential.
