Job Title: R Platform Administrator & HARTA Support Engineer

Job Location: London, UK (Onsite)

Job Type: Permanent/Contract

Role Summary

Responsible for administration, support, monitoring, deployment, security, and maintenance of the R Platform (Posit Workbench and Posit Connect) and HARTA, a pricing application written in R.

Key Responsibilities

R Platform Administration (Posit Workbench & Posit Connect)

  • Product upgrades for Posit Workbench and Posit Connect.
  • R Platform application access and initial setup.
  • R package installation, upgrades, and L2 troubleshooting.
  • AD group access setup for published assets on Connect.
  • Global environment variables and parameter setup for dashboards.
  • Service account setup and maintenance of Kerberos authentication tokens.
  • RMarkdown content schedule setup.
  • Security checks for cross-environment connections and hardcoded credentials.
  • Application deployments across Connect environments.
  • Troubleshooting deployment issues, logs, connection issues, and token errors.
  • Supporting scaling and performance tuning of Connect-published applications.
  • Troubleshooting platform setup and application-related issues with application owners.
  • Monthly platform and user license cleanup activities.
  • JFrog Artifactory or package manager integrations for package installation.
  • Proactive monitoring of platform services, file shares, and integrations using monitoring tools including Dynatrace.
  • Supporting monthly security patching and vulnerability remediation activities.
  • LDAP, application, and CIFS service account password rotations through CyberArk.
  • Platform server vulnerability remediation.
  • Pen-test coordination and vulnerability remediation.
  • SSL certificate renewals.
  • Platform product license renewals.
  • Posit vendor coordination for issue resolution and best practices.
  • Fresh installation and setup of Posit products on new servers.
  • Supporting integration with approved data sources.
  • Maintaining firewall and whitelisting setup for published applications.
  • Coordination with business and IT teams for database connectivity setup.
  • Monthly platform health check reporting.
