Position Summary
This is a work-study position; applicant must be eligible for work-study to apply.
PEER ENGAGEMENT AMBASSADOR
Scholar Success Programs within the Community for Excellence (C4E) is looking for a creative and equity-minded student to serve on the Community for Excellence Peer Engagement Ambassador Team within C4E. This position reports directly to the Assistant Director for Student Experience and Operations.
This work-study position plays a pivotal role in the overall success of students across the Community for Excellence Network by developing, organizing, marketing, and facilitating events, programs, and other engagement opportunities for all C4E Scholars.
Anticipated Start Date
This is an in-person position that will begin in August 2026.
The official period of employment will be from August 2026 to May 2027.

Minimum Required Job Qualifications
- Must be a full-time, CSU undergraduate student with preference given to students who have completed at least 1 year of college, who are members in the Community for Excellence and have a work-study award.
- Must be a CSU student in good disciplinary standing.
- Must have the ability to lawfully work in the United States.
- Knowledge and understanding of the needs and interests of students.
- Demonstrated leadership through campus involvement, work experiences, or familial responsibilities.

- Current Reisher Scholar
- Transfer Student
- Knowledge of campus resources and opportunities
- Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and self-motivated
- Strong programming skills (organization, detail-oriented, event planning)
- Ability to facilitate group discussion
It is preferred that applicants have a minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.5 at the time of application. Because we value student academic success, applicants with a GPA lower than 2.5, if hired, will be required to complete an academic success and improvement plan with supervisor in order to be eligible to serve in position.

Essential Duties
In addition to the planning and implementation of events, programs, and other engagement opportunities for Community for Excellence (C4E) students, Peer Engagement Ambassador members will be responsible for creating marketing materials and generating content for a weekly C4E newsletter.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Peer Engagement Ambassador members must remain in good academic and disciplinary standing during their employment with Scholar Success Programs. If an applicant has a GPA of less than 2.5, they will be required to complete an academic success and improvement plan with a supervisor to be eligible to serve in the PEA position.
REMUNERATION
Compensation consists of an hourly wage of $17.00 per hour.
