Work behind the scenes of events in the Lory Student Center as part of the Event Services team, including events such as Alumni Tailgate concerts, international speaker series, drag shows, movie nights, and lectures.

Job Duties/Responsibilities (all Job Training Provided)

  • Monitoring events and conferences in the LSC.
  • Setting up rooms and outdoor areas with sound, lighting and video equipment and stages according to client specifications. Some lifting is required.
  • Operation of a variety of sound, lighting, and video equipment both independently and as part of a team.
  • Interacting with clients to accommodate event needs and provide high quality customer service.

Must be a CSU student enrolled in a degree-seeking program. Experience with direct customer service, audiovisual equipment, or event planning is plus. Individuals who show interest, aptitude, and willingness/initiative to learn are preferred.

Schedule flexibility is a must. Some shifts will be a couple hours long and others may be over 12 hours long. Must have availability mornings, afternoons, evenings, late nights, and weekends. High flexibility with hours worked per week, as the event schedule is unpredictable. Preferred candidates desire to work at least 10 hours per week, up to 35 hours.
