Gleeson Recruitment Group are partnering with a large, fast-paced organisation that is continuing to invest heavily in its finance function as part of a wider transformation programme. As a result, they are seeking an experienced R2R Manager to join a growing Finance Operations team and play a key role in shaping best practice, controls and reporting across a complex multi-entity environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys combining financial control, team leadership and process improvement within a modern shared services setting.
The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of the Record to Report function, leading a team responsible for delivering accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting across multiple business entities.
You will be responsible for driving consistency, improving processes and ensuring strong financial governance, while acting as a key contact for stakeholders across finance and the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities across multiple entities.
- Reviewing and approving complex journals, accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions and accounting adjustments.
- Ensuring balance sheet integrity through robust reconciliation and review processes.
- Providing technical accounting guidance on complex accounting matters.
- Supporting statutory accounting, audit and financial reporting requirements.
- Managing intercompany accounting and reconciliation activities.
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of finance professionals.
- Driving process improvement, standardisation and automation initiatives.
- Supporting finance transformation projects, system enhancements and process migrations.
- Maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring compliance with internal governance requirements.
- Building effective relationships with stakeholders across finance, operations and senior leadership teams.

About You
We are keen to speak with qualified finance professionals who combine strong technical accounting knowledge with proven people management experience.

You will ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Significant experience within Financial Accounting, Record to Report, Controllership or Shared Services environments.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Experience operating within a multi-entity or group structure.
- A track record of managing period-end close processes and balance sheet control.
- Experience reviewing work and developing junior finance team members.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for driving efficiencies.
- Exposure to large ERP systems, with SAP experience being advantageous.
