Job Description

Radio Frequency Design Engineer

(RF Engineer)

Start: ASAP

Duration: 9 months

Location: Essex

Rates: negotiable, inside IR35

candidates will require an SC clearance to start this project

The role involves working on cutting-edge technology programmes within a highly technical engineering environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and validate RF and analogue circuitry for high-power and high-voltage applications.
  • Contribute to the development of advanced electronic subsystems within energy-intensive platforms.
  • Apply knowledge of energy storage technologies to system-level design, integration and performance optimisation.
  • Support technical proposals, engineering studies and programme delivery activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to develop innovative technical solutions.
  • Participate in design reviews, testing activities and system validation.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong practical and theoretical RF engineering knowledge.
  • Proven experience in analogue circuit design.
  • Demonstrable background in electronic design engineering within complex systems.
  • Experience of, or strong interest in, high-power and/or high-voltage systems.
  • Understanding of energy storage technologies such as capacitors, pulsed power systems or battery technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
