RF Engineer | Space & Satellite Communications
Portsmouth | Stevenage | Edinburgh
Are you an RF Engineer looking to work on cutting-edge satellite communications systems supporting some of the most advanced space and defence programmes in Europe?
Akkodis is supporting major projects within the space sector and is seeking experienced RF Engineers to join teams developing next-generation spacecraft communications systems. This is an opportunity to work on innovative satellite missions, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver critical RF solutions.
What you'll be working on:
- Spacecraft RF Communications Systems
- Satellite Antenna Systems (HGA, MGA & LGA)
- RF Link Budgets & Communications Analysis
- Communications Performance & Data Volume Analysis
- End-to-End RF System Design
- Technical Reviews & Design Assurance Activities
- Supplier Management & Equipment Qualification
- Earth Observation, Defence & Space Missions

We're keen to speak with engineers who have:
- RF Communications Systems experience
- Satellite, Space, Aerospace or Defence backgrounds
- RF Design, Analysis, Integration or Test experience
- Experience producing RF Link Budgets
- Knowledge of antennas, communications payloads or spacecraft communications architectures
- Strong systems engineering and technical documentation skills
- Degree-qualified in Telecommunications, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline
