Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Radiographer to join our friendly and supportive imaging team at Prince Philip Hospital. Located in Llanelli, the largest town in Carmarthenshire, our department provides a wide range of imaging services across the county, including General X-ray, Mammography, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, CT and MRI.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Radiographer to develop their skills within a welcoming and encouraging environment. Our experienced team includes Reporting Radiographers who are available on site Monday to Friday, offering valuable support, guidance and learning opportunities.

We are committed to helping our staff grow professionally. You'll have dedicated time for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), opportunities to participate in quality assurance activities and local audits, and encouragement to attend Radiology Governance meetings to broaden your knowledge and experience.

Our department is equipped with modern digital technology and recently refurbished working areas. Prince Philip Hospital operates as a fully Digital Radiography (DR) department, using Samsung imaging equipment for both general and mobile examinations.

We warmly welcome applications from newly qualified Radiographers. If you'd like to find out more about the role, our team or what it's like to work here, we'd be delighted to have an informal chat.

Main duties of the job

This is a varied and exciting post; as a Radiographer you will be working within the general radiography department and will gain experience in outpatient, inpatient, portable, theatre and fluoroscopy. You will be given a training/competency preceptorship plan tailored specifically to this department and will be fully supported to become trained in all the general radiography areas. You will be assigned a mentor who will work with you through your preceptorship.

The appointment will be 37.5 hours per week including long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
