Radiology Department at Queen Elizabeth Hospital
The Radiology department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn are looking to appoint a driven, enthusiastic individual to a band 5 Radiographer position.
About the Role
As a Diagnostic Radiographer you are a vital part of many patient pathways and key to ensuring patients receive compassionate care while supporting a timely diagnosis. Whether you are providing highly skilled image acquisition or undertaking advanced clinical tasks it is a role that makes a difference.
Responsibilities
- Participate in 7 day working across the QEH and Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) sites.
- Be part of a team of Radiographers that provide an Out of Hours (OOH) imaging service.
- Work as an Autonomous Practitioner, being accountable for own professional actions whilst working independently.
- Adhere to all legislation relating to the diagnostic use of X-rays.
- Adhere to department Local Rules and all technique protocols.
- Work with student radiographers and apprentices in a supervisory capacity under the guidance of the Practice Educator.
- Maintain an up to date CPD portfolio and be willing to undertake regular audit.
- Participate fully on the Out of Hours (OOH) rota which includes night & weekend duties.
- Be flexible with shift patterns in view of staffing levels and training needs.
