Role: Radiographer - General X-Ray
Location: London Bridge Hospital, The Shard and Private Care at Guys, part of London Bridge Campus, Central London.
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week between Monday-Friday, with weekends and on-call rota
Shifts: Rotating 7.5 hour shifts between 0730-2000
Salary: Competitive dependent on experience, plus fantastic benefits, including private healthcare, Gymflex and the option to buy and sell further holiday days.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Radiographer to join our General X-Ray and Theatre Imaging team across the London Bridge campus. Working within our CQC Outstanding-rated Imaging service you will be part of a highly experienced and supportive team delivering exceptional patient care across London Bridge Hospital, The Shard and Private Care at Guys.
You'll work across a mix of urgent care, inpatient and outpatient services, mobile radiography and theatre-based procedures, developing your expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Working closely with leading consultants and multidisciplinary teams, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging whilst utilising some of the most advanced imaging technology available within the UK's private healthcare sector.
Our General Imaging department is equipped with the latest Siemens X-ray and fluoroscopy systems, image intensifiers and an O-Arm for intra-operative 3D imaging. What You'll Do
- Provide accurate diagnostic imaging services by operating Imaging equipment in accordance with operational procedures and ensuring routine quality assurance procedures are carried out.
- Ensure all equipment faults and malfunctions are recorded and reported to the correct parties.
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to maximise clinical efficiency.
- To rotate between areas as required.
- Participate in the out of hours and on-call rota
- Assist in staff and student orientation and training.
- Accept and perform non-radiographic duties that are intrinsic to the day to day running of the department, e.g. make appointments, answer the telephone and perform office duties.
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Diagnostic Imaging or equivalent
- HCPC registered
- Clinical placement experience or post-qualification experience within General X-Ray, theatre imaging, mobile radiography and fluoroscopy
- Ability to work as part of a large team
- Excellent communication skills
