Radiographer II / Radiology – Full Time / Days (Rad Tech II)

At Wood County Hospital, you’re not just another team member—you’re a vital part of delivering exceptional care. Join a dedicated community where your skills will make a real impact on patients’ lives every day.

About the Role

The Radiographer II at Wood County Hospital is a dynamic and fulfilling position. As a Rad Tech II, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Ensuring proper patient positioning and safe transfers, including the use of immobilization devices when needed.
  • Operating radiographic equipment and selecting appropriate technical factors for procedural success, including both routine and specialized imaging.
  • Maintaining radiation safety standards to protect patients and staff while adhering to strict protocols.
  • Generating high-quality radiographs, whether through automatic or manual processes, meeting clinical and technical standards.
  • Assisting in multi-modality workflows (e.g., CT scanning, special procedures, or quality control) to expand expertise.
  • Working effectively with cross-functional teams, providing mentorship to students and ancillary staff.

This role is onsite and covers standard day shift hours as outlined in your offer, with the flexibility for additional hours when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and effectively position patients while ensuring immobilization (if clinically indicated).
  • Operate radiographic equipment accurately, tailoring settings to individual patient needs.
  • Comply with radiation-safety protocols to minimize exposure for both patients and staff.
  • Victimize optimal exposure techniques to ensure diagnostic-quality images.
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary teams, including guidance for training and education (e.g., students, new hires).
  • Develop specialized skills in a second area of expertise, such as CT imaging or quality control.
  • Follow hospital protocols for preventing, mitigating, and responding to safety incidents.
  • Participation in additional duties as necessary to support the radiology department’s objectives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
