About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic and friendly Radiology team at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. This role contributes to the smooth running of our A&E x-ray and CT evening services. The successful candidate will work closely with the Radiographers and liaise directly with service users and staff from other Departments.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting patients on arrival, confirming identification details and appropriate imaging requests.
  • Coordinating patient transfer to and from Radiology.
  • Liaising with other Departments, wards, and staff.
  • Using the radiology information system to accurately document details of patients' examinations.
  • Keeping the work areas stocked and tidy.
  • Answering the telephone and dealing with enquiries promptly and courteously, either taking appropriate action or referring to appropriate Radiology staff.
  • Assisting with patient transfers onto the imaging tables.
  • Assisting with patients' hygiene / comfort needs as necessary.
  • Maintaining dignity and privacy of patients at all times.
