About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic full-time team member who can deal with varied clinical and administrative work. You will be dealing with both clinical and non-clinical staff as well as patients from various referral sources, and their carers/relatives. We aim to deliver a high standard of patient care at all times.
Requirements
To work as a Radiology Department Assistant, you will need some experience of working in a healthcare environment. The successful candidate will be proactive, dynamic, and meticulous in their work taking pride in what they do. There is an expectation to work flexibly as core opening hours extend 8am-8pm.
- Good organisation and communication skills
- Competent IT skills
- Experience working in an healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team consisting of radiographers, sonographers, phlebotomists, ophthalmic technicians, clerical and medical staff.
- Undertake care, clerical, and administrative duties as part of a team, ensuring the maintenance of basic and essential services is met.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and disciplines across the Trust.
- Portray a welcoming, professional, and caring image.
- Have a flexible and “can do” approach in ensuring the work of the department is carried out to the required high standards.

Training
Training will be given to ensure that full functions can be carried out effectively and safely. The post holder will be assessed and certified competent.
