About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and forward-thinking Band 7 Radiology Team Lead to join our Radiology Department in CT. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic CT radiographer to provide professional, clinical, and operational leadership within a busy CT service.
As the CT Team Lead, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the CT department, ensuring the delivery of a safe, effective, and high-quality imaging service. You will lead a team of radiographers promoting excellence in patient care, service improvement, workforce development, and clinical governance.
Responsibilities
- To be responsible for the day to day supervision, leadership, and workflow of the CT service.
- Demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist CT service providing training, advice, education, and support to staff, patients, their families, and carers.
- Responsible for the team leadership of the CT service with responsibility for organizing workload and staffing in that area.
- Ensure operational standards are met to ensure a safe and effective service delivery.
- Demonstrate effective communication with modality leads to ensure staffing levels are managed appropriately.
- Responsible for leading the ongoing service development of clinical practice and standards of care, including the development and review of policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines in collaboration with multi-disciplinary colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with IR(ME)R, radiation safety, governance, and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional diagnostic services.
