Help shape the future of rail in Greater Manchester
Are you a graduate who enjoys analysing information, solving problems and influencing positive change? We're looking for a Rail Graduate Officer to join our Rail team and help support the future development of rail services across Greater Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience within the rail industry whilst contributing to the continued growth of the Bee Network.
Your Role
As a Rail Graduate, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of rail activities, including service planning, performance analysis, stakeholder engagement, rail reform and service delivery. You'll work alongside experienced colleagues and a range of external stakeholders and industry partners, supporting projects that help improve rail services across Greater Manchester.
Using data, insight and research, you'll help inform decisions, develop evidence-based recommendations and contribute to both operational and strategic projects. You'll support performance reporting, help shape future rail services, contribute to customer focused initiatives and gain hands on experience of how rail supports connectivity, economic growth and sustainable transport across the city region. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, build professional networks and play a part in shaping the future of rail within the Bee Network.

Working at the heart of the Bee Network, we collaborate with a range of industry partners and external stakeholders to influence rail services, improve performance and deliver better outcomes for passengers.

What you’ll bring

We're looking for someone who is curious, analytical and eager to learn. You'll be able to demonstrate:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and present both numerical and written information.
- Good digital skills, including Excel and an interest in using technology and AI to support analysis and decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce reports, presentations and recommendations for a range of audiences.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver work to agreed deadlines.
- Stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- The ability to use your own initiative whilst also contributing positively as part of a team.
What we can offer you
We have three permanent opportunities that come with a starting salary of £31,762 per annum.
