An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate to join a leading international law firm's specialist Rail practice.
Advising a broad range of public and private sector clients, you will work on complex commercial, regulatory and infrastructure matters across the rail sector, supporting major projects both in the UK and internationally.
This role offers the opportunity to work on market-leading mandates, advising clients throughout the lifecycle of major rail projects while building long-term client relationships and developing your profile within the sector.
Role
- Advise on a broad range of commercial, contractual and regulatory matters within the rail sector
- Support major infrastructure, rolling stock, operations, procurement and concession projects
- Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements and project documentation
- Lead matters with increasing autonomy while supporting Partners on strategic client mandates
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across both the public and private sectors
- Mentor and supervise junior lawyers
- Contribute to business development, client pitches and thought leadership initiatives
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions on cross-border matters

Candidate Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with experience advising clients in the rail sector
- Strong commercial contracts and project documentation experience
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and project management skills
- Experience managing complex matters with minimal supervision
- Commercially minded with strong legal judgement and client relationship skills
- Proven ability to supervise junior lawyers and contribute to business development
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
