Your Role
The RAN Network Domain Architect will specialise in autonomous RAN operations, RAN optimisation, RAN assurance, Open RAN integration, RIC-based automation, and AI-driven RAN self-optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Define autonomous RAN use cases including self-optimising RAN, self-healing RAN, interference management, energy optimisation, coverage optimisation, capacity optimisation, and fault prediction.
- Define RAN KPI models including accessibility, retainability, mobility, throughput, latency, PRB utilisation, interference, handover success, call drop, and energy KPIs.
- Develop closed-loop workflows for RAN optimisation using OSS, SON, RIC, EMS/NMS, and vendor automation platforms.
- Support Open RAN, near-real-time RIC, non-real-time RIC, xApps, rApps, and service management and orchestration concepts.
- Define RAN telemetry, configuration, topology, inventory, and performance data requirements.
- Support integration with RAN vendor platforms, OSS assurance systems, inventory, and orchestration layers.
- Validate RAN automation actions against policy, safety, customer impact, and operational risk.

- RAN architecture for 4G/5G.
- RAN KPIs and optimisation.
- Open RAN, RIC, xApps, rApps.
- SON and closed-loop RAN optimisation.
- RAN inventory, topology, configuration, and performance data.
- Multi-vendor RAN OSS integration.
- TMF Open APIs and vendor automation interfaces.
General Required Experience for Network Domain Architect
- Experience in telecom network architecture, operations, assurance, optimisation, or domain engineering.
- Strong understanding of autonomous network concepts and TM Forum Autonomous Network levels.
- Experience defining network KPIs, alarm models, performance models, and closed-loop remediation actions.
- Experience working with multi-vendor OSS and vendor domain platforms.
- Strong understanding of network telemetry, configuration, topology, and inventory data.
- Experience with intent management, policy management, and service assurance.
- Ability to work with AI/ML, automation, cybersecurity, and platform engineering teams.
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Vendor-Specific Experience
- Ericsson RAN, Ericsson OSS/ENM, SON, automation and assurance interfaces.
- Nokia RAN, NetAct, SON, Nokia automation and assurance platforms.
- Samsung RAN or Open RAN solutions.
- Mavenir, Rakuten Symphony, Parallel Wireless, or other Open RAN ecosystem platforms.
Preferred Certifications
- TM Forum Autonomous Networks Practitioner.
- TM Forum Open API certification.
- Nokia, Ericsson, or cloud certifications/trainings relevant to the selected domain.
