About The Role
The Emergency Services Network (ESN) will replace the existing Airwave network and will be built on the existing 4G network and will provide essential new voice, data services and critical comms to 300,000 members of Britain's Blue Light teams. It's also expected that the new network will save the government around £1 million a day.
This role shall ensure that any new ESN projects and ESN services are managed from concept through to in-life operations whilst ensuring effective, efficient operations services are provided by our ESN supplier portfolio.
You will be required to undergo National Security Vetting.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supplier lead for dedicated ESN contracts/solutions.
- Financial accountability for supplier contracts and ongoing operational spend.
- Build and develop relationships with internal & external stakeholders to ensure successful operational performance in-line with ESN goals.
- Operations technical interface with ESN vendors, building strategic relationships and handling investigations and escalations. Regularly review contractual and operational performance of the ESN supplier services through running governance forums.
- Accountability for driving improvement and exceptional performance on ESN Critical National Infrastructure workstreams.
- Represent ESN operations in supporting new contract service requests, and support RFP tenders for new services and scope.
- Proactively establish and develop internal and external relationships to achieve ESN performance & development goals.

Essential Skills / Experience
- Proven understanding of RAN fundamentals and network architecture
- Be a confident commutator with proven experience working with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven end to end project managements experience with finance and budget exposure.
