MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading retail organisation on the search for a Range Review Manager. This is a permanent role based in Greater London (5 day site).
This is a highly cross-functional position where you'll take ownership of the end-to-end range review process across multiple product categories.
Working closely with Buying and Category teams, you will coordinate every stage of the range review lifecycle—from planning and governance through to implementation—ensuring product launches, delists, and assortment changes are delivered efficiently across the wider business.
Success in this role requires strong project management, commercial thinking, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring all changes are executed seamlessly while delivering improved customer outcomes, operational efficiency, and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate annual and ad-hoc range review programmes across multiple categories.
- Partner with Buying and Category teams to develop commercially driven assortment strategies.
- Build robust project plans, timelines, and governance frameworks to ensure successful delivery.
- Use customer, category, and sales data to support range recommendations and decision-making.
- Coordinate activity across Buying, Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, Depots, and Master Data teams.
- Manage product introductions, delistings, and range transitions while mitigating operational risk.
- Ensure depot readiness, stock run-down plans, and new product onboarding are successfully executed.
- Monitor implementation progress, resolving issues, and keeping key stakeholders aligned.
- Evaluate the success of completed range reviews, identifying opportunities to improve future processes and category performance.
- Build strong relationships across the business, facilitating workshops and driving collaborative decision-making.

What We're Looking For:
- Experience managing range reviews, assortment planning, or category projects within wholesale, retail, or FMCG.
- Strong understanding of category management principles and range optimisation.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects involving Buying, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
- Commercially minded with excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data into actionable recommendations.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to demanding timescales.
- Comfortable working across multiple commercial systems and business platforms.
- Experience within wholesale, convenience retail, or FMCG environments.
- Knowledge of supply chain, depot, or distribution operations.
- Experience using category management or range planning tools.
- Project management qualification or equivalent practical experience.
